Artist//Performer//Workshop Submission Guidelines

blogpivBay Area Ladyfest is a community-based, volunteer run event designed by and for womyn, trans and gender non-conforming folks to showcase, celebrate and encourage the artistic, organizational and political work and talents of this group. It will feature performances by bands, spoken word artists, authors, visual artists and more!! It will include workshops, panels, and dance parties. This is a womyn and trans -organized event but ALL are welcome to attend as we are committed to ensure that the festival reflects the diversity of our community regardless of race, gender, sexuality, age, ability, class, or faith. Staffed by volunteers, Bay Area Ladyfest will be a not-for-profit event with 100% of proceeds raised donated to local women’s projects and charities.

Bay Area Ladyfest will be a celebration of music, film, performance and art from womyn, trans and gender non-conforming artists from the Bay Area and beyond; as well as a positive space for discussion, investigation, education and fun! We hope to make it a thought provoking experience that will encourage people to question beliefs about gender, feminism and sexuality.

Deadline for submission: July 31st. We will make selections the first 2 weeks of August. If you are selected you should hear back from us by August 15th. Thank you!

Please keep in mind that this festival is a celebration of all things fabulously femme, trans, womyn, and gender non-conforming. Preference will be given to groups or art that is reflective of this.
